Elkhorn Resort is located at the base of Dollar Mountain, a gently sloped, treeless ski area where beginners and intermediates practice their maneuvers before taking on the famed terrain of Bald Mountain. The Elkhorn Lift is directly behind the resort, offering guests the ease of ski-in, ski-out status. Complimentary shuttles to Bald Mountain run regularly from the resort.

Nordic ski trails extend from one end of the Wood River Valley to the other, making it a cross country skier’s paradise. Back country yurt skiing, heli-skiing, dog sledding, snow-mobiling and sleigh rides are a few of the other winter activities available to the Elkhorn Resort guest. Sun Valley Outfitters in the Elkhorn Plaza has equipment rentals for many of these winter sports.

Sun Valley’s Elkhorn Resort’s main hotel is host to 132 guest rooms including 7 suites.
